Applicants are required to have three A Levels at grades ABB, including a grade B in French. Alternatively, candidates may present the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 32 points overall, including 6, 5, and 5 in Higher Level subjects, which must include Higher Level French or an equivalent qualification. For BTEC qualifications, accepted combinations include a BTEC Extended Diploma at DDM plus a B in French; a BTEC Diploma at DD plus a B in French; or a BTEC Subsidiary Diploma at D plus AB at A Level, including French. Applicants who are not currently studying French at A Level but wish to pursue advanced French studies may submit an independent language diploma at B2 level, specifically the DELF-B2 (French). This diploma, aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, may be taken independently or through a language centre and will be considered when submitted alongside three A Levels or equivalent qualifications as outlined above.
