On this MMath Mathematics degree, you’ll work with leading researchers who’ll introduce you to pure and applied maths. Learn advanced mathematical and statistical concepts, covering topics from cryptography to black holes. Furthermore, as part of the Russell Group, our rigorous scientific research feeds directly into your modules. **Key features of this course:** - You’ll be able to specialise in pure or applied mathematics or statistics, or follow a broad path across these topics and more - Learn to use mathematical and computational packages such as Python and the statistics package 'R' - Undertake an individual research project in a field of your choice - You’ll be taught through a combination of lectures and workshops, by leading researchers in fields, such as group theory, the mathematics of nature and experimental design. **Student Support**Your Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) will be there to help guide you throughout your time at Southampton.
