Course delivery from year 1 of the degree course onwards will be from Coventry University main campus.This course is ideal for aspiring engineers seeking industry-relevant skills in sustainability, innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration. Through hands-on projects and research-led teaching, you will have the opportunity to gain technical, managerial and analytical expertise for diverse careers in automotive, aerospace, energy and more.**Foundation year**The foundation year seeks to provide opportunities to develop fundamental knowledge and skills in a range of mathematical and business principles, as well as the theories and concepts of electrical and mechanical engineering. Students who successfully complete their foundation year will then progress onto the Mechanical Engineering BEng (Hons) degree within Coventry University’s School of Mechanical Engineering.**Degree**- **Core principles and innovation**: master mechanics, thermodynamics and design while tackling real-world challenges sustainably. - **Industry-aligned experience:** you may have the opportunity to engage in live projects and apply for industry placements, as well as work in cutting-edge labs (3D printing, robotics and renewables). - **Professional development:** build leadership, project management and collaboration skills to prepare for a role in engineering. **Why you should study this course****Foundation**- Supports you to gain the academic skills required for degree-level study.- Provides a grounding in key areas of engineering and mathematics.**Degree****Develop skills with industry exposure and networking** Gain hands-on experience with modern technology, including 3D printing, robotics and renewable energy systems, through compulsory lab work, workshops and real-world projects.
