What will I learn?

Our MSc in Applied Acoustics taps into multiple disciplines and major global issues, such as developing electric vehicles, managing noise pollution in urban areas, and advancing smart cities through active noise cancellation, soundscape design, and artificial intelligence (AI). On the MSc Applied Acoustics course, you will study the varied aspects of acoustics from room acoustics and noise control to architectural acoustics and acoustic modelling. With the combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience you will be able to tackle real-world problems within the acoustics field. Acoustics has a great impact on our daily lives and quality of life. This is reflected in many aspects of modern living, such as music, living spaces, schools, hospitals, airports, and many more. There is an ever-growing demand for people with the skills and knowledge to analyse acoustics problems and design and implement viable modern solutions in a wide variety of areas such as construction, built environment, consultancy and automotive.
