What will I learn?

Nutrition improves performance, whether in elite sport, amateur fitness or exercise among the general population. This course will enable you to gain the evidence-based knowledge and skills needed to become a professional Sports and Exercise Nutritionist. The course has been designed to enable you to join the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR), the professional register for qualified sports and exercise nutritionists in the UK. You’ll be taught by experienced academics, including registered SENR practitioners, to ensure you enter the workplace with the skills you need to positively impact performance of whoever you are working with. Professional Recognition Our programme has been accredited by the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR) and has met the competencies required for graduate registration of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR).

Entry requirements

For international students

Students are required to have BSc (Hons) degree in a subject which meets the biosciences requirement of the Sport and Exercise Nutrition register for degree level study in human physiology and biochemistry. Typically, this would include subjects such as:

  • BSc (Hons) Nutrition
  • BSc (Hons) Dietetics
  • BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences
  • BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science
  • BSc (Hons) Biology
