The CGAR cluster studies how governance, accountability, and financial strategies shape the ability of organisations to adapt to economic, social, environmental, and technological challenges. Our work looks at corporate finance decisions - such as capital structures, dividend policies and executive behaviour - alongside issues including insider trading, ESG disclosure, audit quality, regulation and corporate social responsibility. We also examine how financial markets respond to disruption, covering stock, currency and commodity markets, as well as the impact on small and medium-sized enterprises and organisations in both developed and emerging economies.
