What will I learn?

Roehampton aims to provide its research students with the opportunity to study in a stimulating, responsive, supportive environment, which fosters independent, critical thinking. A PhD is for students who wish to devise an independent research project which will result in an original contribution to knowledge in the subject area. The Graduate School is the centre of the research student community at Roehampton. All research students belong to the Graduate School in addition to their Academic School. We have a long and distinguished history in educational research, working to ensure that all young people are able to benefit from enriching educational experiences, and to become active and engaged global citizens. The Centre for Learning, Teaching and Human Development has a unique multidisciplinary nature that reflects the world-leading research interests of its members. But, more than this, it is truly inter-disciplinary, with research and knowledge exchange that blends a range of research interests that are brought together within the three common shared research themes of: Creative Societies Health and wellbeing Social Justice and Inclusivity
