Entry requirements

For international students

You will need a good Honours degree in a relevant field, although your application may also be supported by appropriate work experience. For PhD programmes, you are expected to hold excellent undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, typically including a taught Master's degree with a dissertation. In addition to formal qualifications, a key factor in the decision to accept you onto the programme will be the quality of your research proposal and its relevance to the departments research interests. Successful completion of a research thesis requires a high level of self-discipline, motivation, and commitment to your chosen subject. If you have relevant professional experience or qualifications, these will also be considered as part of your application.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
