What will I learn?

Software development is a dynamic and constantly evolving field that plays a critical role in today's digital age. Learn to design and build software applications, websites, and mobile apps using a variety of programming languages, such as C# and Java, and frameworks on our Software Development degree.

Explore various areas of software development, including software architecture, user interface design, software testing and quality assurance, and database management, and gain hands-on experience through internships and final major projects.

You’ll develop skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration while working on team-based software development projects, supported by industry partner projects which will open doors to a range of career opportunities upon graduation. On this course you’ll spend lots of time in our dedicated computing labs, working on industry-standard equipment and software.

Entry requirements

For international students

96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent). 5 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths. If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University. An International Baccalaureate with a minimum of 24 points. IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each element. TOEFL iBT with 80 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
