What will I learn?

Our distinctive MEng Software Engineering degree builds upon the BEng Software Engineering and will enable you to adapt software engineering to new technologies and challenges to create the next generation of software systems. You'll learn to develop the core professional skills, knowledge and understanding that underpin the software engineering industry, including programming, software design, analysis, quality assurance and project management. Key areas of specialist study include critical systems, web development, advanced databases and scripting languages. Entry requirements

For international students

A-levels: A*AA including mathematics (minimum grade A). International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 38 points overall including 19 at Higher Level, with 6 in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) or 7 (Applications and Interpretation); Foundation Year available for applicants without these subjects at Higher Level. RQF/QCF BTEC: D in the National Extended/Subsidiary Certificate plus A*A from two A-levels including mathematics (minimum grade A) or D* plus AA including mathematics; D*D in the National/Diploma plus A in A-level mathematics or DD plus A* in A-level mathematics; we will consider the National Extended/Extended Diploma with A-level mathematics. GCSE requirements: English language (or English) and mathematics at minimum grade 4/C.
