What will I learn?

If you already have a non-nursing bachelor’s degree, our accelerated nursing program track in Chicago can speed up your path to a BSN. It’s the perfect way for students from a non-nursing background to accelerate their entry into a nursing career in 16 months. An accelerated BSN program track makes it possible for students who meet admissions requirements, including a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 16 months. Depending on their previous degree, students may have earned more credits toward fulfilling prerequisite course requirements. The curriculum requires a significant amount of time and energy to keep pace and involves three integrated learning experiences

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have the following:

  • A BA or BS degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Earn a grade of “C” or better in each science course
  • Earn a grade of “C-” or better in each non-science course
  • Complete each science course within 7 years of entering the program
  • Prerequisite courses must be from regionally accredited institutions

Also students must have the following scores,

  • A minimum score of 79 is required for the TOEFL
  • A minimum score of 6.5 for IELTS
