What will I learn?

The Master of Arts in French program provides a comprehensive overview of French or francophone studies, or both, with courses in literature, culture, film, linguistics, pedagogy and critical theory, accompanied by discussion of social and historical contexts in France and the French-speaking world. Graduates are prepared for programs at the Ph.D. level in French, Francophone Studies or related areas, or to enter the job market ready for professional options such as a career in teaching French as a foreign language.
