What will I learn?

This program provides an understanding of the human resources functions that contribute to the success of an organization, including recruiting, developing and retaining employees. You’ll learn the fundamentals of employee recruitment, hiring, benefits, training and development. You’ll explore the ethical, legal and social factors that shape today’s workplace. You’ll also gain an understanding of the state and federal labor codes that companies and organizations must remain in compliance with.

Entry requirements

For international students

All foreign credentials must be evaluated. Admission requires a general evaluation stating credential is equivalent to that of a U.S. high school or U.S. college or university. All evaluations must be completed by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). Please note: Some evaluation services require translation from a translation service. In order to have foreign college credit count towards the completion of a program at a college of the Alamo Colleges District, students must submit a course by course evaluation.
