What will I learn?

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Transition to Registered Nurse (RN) Program is a minimum of three quarters in length, not including summer. LVN Transition to RN students enter the Registered Nursing program as advanced placement students as determined by the Director of the Nursing Program. Prior clinical experience in an acute setting will influence the student’s placement in the program. The majority of courses are held in the daytime. Current California LVN license and IV certification is required. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the California State Board Examination for licensing (NCLEX-RN). Students are admitted throughout the year as advanced placements. Once admitted, the program is at least three quarters in length (not including prerequisites). Admission to the program is limited.
