Marketing is a diverse and flexible field of business that can involve sales, advertising, promotion, retail management, marketing research, pricing, physical distribution, new product introduction, branding, international business, and e-commerce.

Careers in marketing
Marketing provides a well-rounded business education for many careers.
Virtually all businesses and organizations, as well as many government agencies, have marketing needs. Job availability for marketers is good compared to many other business fields. A career in marketing can take people around the world or even let them work at home.
Entry-level positions include sales assistant or representative, consultant, and marketing manager. Other occupations in marketing include retail manager, advertising, sales, research, distribution, new product introduction, and product pricing.
Eventual positions include sales managers (managing a team of sales people), product managers (responsible for all aspects of marketing a product), research managers (consumer, media, industrial research), retail store managers, or district managers.

To be considered for admission to Washington State University as a freshman, a student needs to complete at least 12 years of school, culminating in an appropriate secondary certificate or external examination. (We may consider the first year or two of university in some countries to be secondary level.)
Schooling should include preparation in humanities, mathematics, basic sciences, and social sciences.
WSU requires a minimum grade point average of 2.70 (on a 4.00 scale) for admission as an international freshman.
