Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language Education

The Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language program at Lewis University focuses on the development of language proficiency (speaking, reading and writing), cultural and linguistic knowledge, and critical thinking. Students are also placed in classrooms in order to gain hands-on experience with various students, cultures and learning styles. Upon graduation, students will earn a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Spanish, in addition to being prepared for licensure to teach Spanish in the Pre-K through 12 setting. The Foreign Language Education program is fully approved by the State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board and the Illinois State Board of Education.
