What will I learn?

At the academic heart of ASU, this program is part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the university’s largest and most diverse college. Its world-renowned faculty include 15 National Academy of Sciences members, 3 Pulitzer Prize winners and 2 Noble Prize winners. The Bachelor of Arts program in global Asia studies offers students an in-depth and comprehensive study of Asia --- China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, India and other countries --- through a number of disciplines that are combined into a coherent plan of academic study. The program provides students with a variety of intellectual tools that enable them to address languages, religions and cultures, artistic traditions, political and social issues, and global networks of Asia as well as diasporic experiences of Asians, and to apply that knowledge in many academic and professional settings. In addition to reviewing the guidelines in the Concurrent Program Options section below, students interested in pursuing concurrent or second baccalaureate degrees in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences are advised to visit The College's website for more information and requirements.
