This emphasis prepares students who aspire to teach math in middle school or high school. Mathematics is a cornerstone to any education. Students seeking a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with an Education emphasis study core math courses as well as pedagogy to equip them to teach at the secondary level. Graduates can earn certification by the Arizona Department of Education to teach mathematics in grades 6-12 and are eligible for earning certifications in other states. Undergraduates gain expert knowledge through an inquiry-based approach.
