If you want to pursue studio arts but are still determining which discipline best matches your interests, the studio arts exploration option is for you. The School of Art offers a BFA degree in studio arts with options in ceramics, furniture design, glass, metals and jewelry design, printmaking, painting, or sculpture and expanded forms. In your first year, you will work closely with your academic advisor to select courses that best align with your interests.

For all bachelors degree programs, a strong performance in a college preparatory program is expected. Generally, this includes:4 years of English3 years of social studies and/or history3-4 years of mathematics Specific math requirements are detailed by college below2-3 years of scienceSpecific science requirements are detailed by college belowCompletion of a High School Diploma or its equivalenceSubmit an official high school transcript. Transcripts may be sent electronically or mailed/emailed to RIT Admissions from your high school. Submit a letter of recommendation. A school counselor recommendation is preferred, teacher recommendations are welcome, and any additional recommendation letters will be considered (minimum of 1 recommendation letter required, suggested maximum of 3-5).
