The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Valencia College provides an opportunity for individuals who hold an A.S. degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution to further their education and increase their potential for career advancement.The curriculum offers courses that cover a wide range of topics, including:Nursing theories and researchFoundations of health care policyCommunity health assessmentsLeadership in health careEffective use of patient care technologiesPathophysiology for common disease conditionsScientific evidence for nursing practicesThe RN to BSN degree program is a limited-access program and admission to Valencia College does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants must have completed an eligible nursing degree program, and provide proof of a current Florida nursing license or eligibility to obtain a Florida nursing license. Students are admitted to the program each term and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Applications that are submitted before the priority deadline are more likely to be processed for the upcoming term however, you may submit an application after the priority deadline.Designed for working professionals, this is an online program with the exception of two 20-hour face-to-face clinical experiences (which can be split up to accommodate your schedule). Students must complete at least 30 degree credits at Valencia College to be awarded this degree.Career OutlookJob OutlookRegistered Nurses are projected to gain the second largest number of new jobs among all occupations in Florida over the next decade as demand for health care increases. Between 2019 and 2035, employment for registered nurses in Florida is expected to increase by 31% with 6,600 new jobs added. Official LOEP result (minimum score 86 – offered at Valencia College)

Successful completion of English Composition or its equivalent (as determined by Valencia) with a grade of C or higher
