What will I learn?

The Interior Design program has a strong partnership with construction management that sets it apart from other interior design programs. The program is housed within the School of Construction, College of Technology. Students have a multi-disciplinary course of study that includes courses in interior design, construction, and graphic design along with a diverse general education core. The interior design major prepares students to enter various facets of a design-build network. Professional career paths include residential, contract, healthcare, hospitality, and government design along with many specialized career options within the design field. The interior design curriculum emphasizes current technology, leadership skills, ethics and professionalism. Industry-specific computer applications presented early in the coursework and used throughout the curriculum. A minimum eight week internship is required during the summer of the third year, and students have the opportunity to pass the LEED Green Associate exam, before graduating with a Bachelor of Interior Design degree.
