What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET) in Electronics Engineering Technology with a Power Systems emphasis prepares students for careers involving electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, and power system technologies. The program provides a strong foundation in electronics, circuit analysis, electric power, instrumentation, microcomputer systems, and electrical engineering technology. Students develop practical knowledge of electric machines, power electronics, transformers, three-phase power, renewable energy systems, and power system analysis. The emphasis also covers specialized areas such as transmission lines, power flow, system stability, fault analysis, system protection, substation design, switchgear, relays, SCADA systems, and power factor correction.
