What will I learn?

The mass communications program at SIUE prepares students to succeed in careers in one of the fastest growing and most dynamic areas: the mass media. A specialization in advertising and strategic media emphasizes empathy, ethical practice, and audience-centered messaging in a rapidly evolving global marketplace. Our curriculum explores advertising campaign development, brand management, target audience research, media planning, and creative strategy. Students gain hands-on experience creating culturally relevant campaigns for diverse audiences while building skills in writing, design, analytics, and project management.
