What will I learn?

The Lamar University Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year program designed to prepare professional nurses to meet community and state needs to assume leadership in the delivery of healthcare. Graduates of this program are prepared to practice in structured, unstructured and evolving healthcare settings. The focus of care is broad. As a BSN graduate, you'll be prepared to deliver healthcare to individuals and families as clients as well as aggregates, communities and societies within the context of their environment. You'll also be equipped to incorporate research findings, utilize technology and pursue graduate education and life-long learning.

Entry requirements

For international students

If you are an international student who has never been enrolled at a post-secondary college or university, you must submit all required documents and show evidence of a cumulative 2.5 grade point average on all secondary school work. International undergraduate applicants must have an official report of course-by-course evaluated transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary work sent to Lamar University directly by the evaluating agency. Lamar University does not provide an internal evaluation service, and you do not need to send official transcripts to our office.
