Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission to a doctoral or specialist degree program, you must have earned a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from the undergraduate degree-granting institution. For doctoral and specialist degrees that require a masters degree for admission, you must have earned a minimum of a 3.2 GPA from the master's degree-granting institution. Resume or curriculum vitae Two letters of recommendation: your letters should be from current or former faculty, supervisors, or professional colleagues and specifically address your potential for success in doctoral studyAutobiography: (500-1,000 words) your autobiography should be centered on your educational and professional backgroundStatement of philosophy: (500-1,000 words) your statement of educational philosophy should outline your perspectives related to the nature of education broadly and within higher education specificallyStatement of purpose: (500-1,000 words) your statement of purpose should outline why you are pursuing doctoral education and include the goals you want to accomplish and your research interestsFor doctoral and specialist degrees that require a masters degree for admission, you must have earned a minimum of a 3.2 GPA from the master's degree-granting institution
