Completion of a master's degree in an engineering or science discipline closely related to modeling and simulationA minimum grade-point-average in graduate course work of 3.5 (4.0 scale); students having a grade-point-average between 3.25 and 3.50 with evidence of exceptional professional accomplishment may be eligible for admission upon petition to the graduate program directorKnowledge of mathematical fundamentals including differential and integral calculus, ordinary differential equations, calculus-based probability and statistics, and linear algebraKnowledge of computer science fundamentals including an object-oriented programming language such as C++ or JAVA, algorithmic problem solving, and data structures
