What will I learn?

The post-master’s to DNP program at TU is designed to provide advanced practice nurses (i.e., CRNAs, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists or certified nurse midwives) with the opportunity to advance their education and knowledge in translational research, while effecting change in their clinical practice. The program is supported by local faculty that are focused on students’ success and the community.The post-master’s to DNP completion track builds on previous academic work and clinical experience. Students will complete core DNP research, theory courses and DNP project-building courses. Students will complete 500 clinical practice hours in the implementation and completion of the DNP project. This requirement adheres to the consensus model of the Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice published by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
