AA-T in Elementary Education degree is designed to allow students to develop depth in concepts related to teaching in contemporary schools, Kindergarten through 12th grade. Students will be prepared to work in the field of educations such as a K-12 Educator, Education Administrator, Special Educator Teacher and School Counselors. Upon successful completion of courses leading to the Elementary Teacher Education AA-T Degree the student will be able to know and understand the established as well as recent theories of child development and apply human development theory to observation and practice. The successful student will be able to analyze and think critically about the teacher’s role in early learning and development settings.
