The Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Data Science is designed for students interested in a focused amount of foundational data science training as a gateway into a full graduate degree, as an augmenting experience to combine with other graduate studies, or as stand-alone training for advancement in professional roles. It lays the groundwork for understanding basic data science, including data mining and discovery, data visualization and ethical issues in information. The transdisciplinary curriculum prepares graduates to be doers, thinkers, solvers and game changers who tackle real-world problems that arise at the intersection of technology, people and information.
