Program Objectives

Designed to teach students to build quality educational experiences, at varying levels for diverse learner populations, for any discipline of study or subject matter. Promotes seamless integration of technology awareness and application to augment theoretical study and research toward planning, assessing and improving learning.

Learning Outcomes

Students in the Instructional Design, Evaluation, and Assessment Graduate Certificate Program will learn a wide range of leadership and management skills in addition to the following skills:

Integrated curriculum, learning and assessment systems (CLAS) design.
Instruction and assessment-methods design.
Various types of technology to develop, use and process assessment results, as well as facilitate and augment instructional design.
Design and development of effective online and hybrid instruction.
Program evaluation methods and practice.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be considered for a Graduate Certificate program at NJIT, you must have completed a Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent elsewhere, and demonstrate high academic achievement in an appropriate discipline.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Duolingo or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) may be asked of international applicants not holding a degree from a United States post-secondary institution. The minimum score required is 79 for the Internet-based TOEFL exam, 213 for the computer-based TOEFL exam, or 550 for the paper-based TOEFL exam. A minimum score of 6.5 with no sub-score lower than 6.0 is required for the IELTS exam or 120 on the Duolingo exam.
