The MA program in Persian and Iranian Studies at the University of Arizona offers a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum. MA students can focus on a) modern or classical Persian literature and culture or b) Iranian (or other Persian speaking societies') history, religion, social organization, and politics. They also engage in a critical examination of contemporary ideas and methodologies in the field of Persian and Iranian Studies.University of Arizona's Roshan Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Persian and Iranian Studies is supported by the Roshan Cultural Heritage Institute, a US-based nonprofit that sponsors educational activities to promote the understanding, transmission, and instruction of Persian language and culture. Roshan GIDP benefits from the support of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Graduate College, the School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies, and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.
