Offering tracks for students with or without an accounting background, Anderson's 33-hour Master's of Accounting (MACCT) will prepare you to be an expert in such areas as taxation, information assurance, auditing, finance, fraud and managerial accounting.Individualized attention from MACCT staff and professors will help you develop the skills and analytical thinking required to pursue CPA certification or certified accounting management - and to become a leader in your field.

Entry requirements

For international students

Advanced Accounting and Tax Accounting Tracks

The minimum requirements for admission to the M.Acct. are:

1. a bachelor's degree in accounting from an AACSB-accredited school;
2. a grade point average of 3.0 for the last 60 credit hours of college coursework including any post-baccalaureate work as well as an average of 3.0 for all accounting courses;
3. the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The GMAT/GRE is waived for students who have an undergraduate major in accounting from an AACSB-accredited school with a minimum of 3.25 GPA in both upper-division and accounting classes or with a petition based on Academic/Professional background and experience.

Professional Accounting Track

The minimum requirements for admission to the M.Acct. Professional Accounting are:

a grade point average of 3.0 for the last 60 credit hours of college coursework including any post-baccalaureate work;

the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The GMAT/GRE is waived for students who have a B.B.A. from an AACSB-accredited school with a minimum of 3.25 GPA in all upper-division coursework or with a petition based on Academic/Professional background and experience. Students granted the waiver should also attend the Anderson School of Management Writing Workshop
