What will I learn?

The Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program at the University of Memphis allows students to customize an interdisciplinary course of study. The program is for those seeking the personal enrichment provided by liberal learning and the development of intellectual skills necessary to lifelong learning critical reading scholarly writing and the art of interpersonal communication.Our graduate programs are designed to fulfill personal and professional development interests not found through other programs on campus. Students have the option to customize a degree plan bridging two or more disciplines and may also earn credit hours through work experience or professional training. All of our courses are offered in formats tailored to fit the busy schedules of adult non traditional students.

Entry requirements

For international students

Baccalaureate Degree The applicant must provide an unofficial transcript showing that a U.S. bachelors degree or its equivalent was awarded by an accredited college or university or is expected to be awarded within one term. If accepted to the University of Memphis the student must provide an official transcript by the end of their first semester. In addition transcripts from any other college or university attended may be requested. Only transcripts received directly from an issuing institution are considered official. Personal copies are not acceptable as official documents. If you are a UofM undergraduate student applying to Graduate School at UofM you do not need to request that an official transcript be sent to Graduate Admissions. 2.75 4.0 cumulative GPA. Departments may set higher standards.
