What will I learn?

This innovative program prepares graduate students to meet the State of Tennessee initial licensure requirements in teaching secondary and K-12 education while pursuing a Master’s degree. There are two paths – traditional teacher training and -embedded teaching. Both are focused upon best practices in education as well as the latest developments in learning theory and research. Built around the concepts of high tech and high touch, the program provides exceptional convenience for those students who prefer online and hybrid classes with a personal approach. The Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Secondary Education requires completion of 30-39 credit hours and successful completion of a clinical experience or an advisor approved alternative. Teacher licensure requires completion of all current Tennessee teacher licensure requirements for the licensure area.
