What will I learn?

Students in the Agricultural and Resource Economics (AREC) Master of Science degree program have a choice between a thesis option with Applied Economics and Policy Analysis (AEPA) and a non-thesis option with Applied Econometrics and Data Analytics (AEDA). The current curriculum requirements for the AREC Master of Science Degree programs can be found at http://grad.arizona.edu/programs/programinfo/ARECMSAEPA and http://grad.arizona.edu/programs/programinfo/ARECMSAEDA, we do not accept applications under the general Agricultural and Resource Economics Master of Science program, one of the two options above must be decided at the time of application.The STEM approved Applied Economics and Policy Analysis (AEPA) master's degree paves the way for you to excel in premier doctoral programs. This two-year program provides superb preparation in academic research that will enhance your ability to gain admission and garner financial support to pursue a doctoral degree at top Ph.D. programs throughout the United States, such as University of California at Berkeley, Cornell University, University of California at Davis, University of Maryland, University of Minnesota, Vanderbilt University, Virginia Tech, and Washington State University, and abroad.Past Ph.D. graduates have placed well in academic jobs, securing tenure-track assistant professorships at top tier universities including University of Arizona, Ohio State University, University of Florida, Purdue University, Tufts University and University of Utah.
