What will I learn?

The University of New Mexico Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences is proud to offer a concentration in Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology. This concentration is open to master’s level students, but students can begin working towards this concentration at the undergraduate level. On average, full-time students who already have a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing sciences complete the program in six semesters over a two year period. Students who need to do leveling courses (prerequisite undergraduate courses in SHS) complete the program between six to ten semesters. On average, part-time students with an SHS bachelor's degree who take six credits per semester complete the program between 10 to 12 semesters.

A minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a U.S. 4.0 scale) or comparable grade point average in upper-division (junior and senior level) work and in any graduate work already completed
