About this course

What will I learn?

The Department of Mexican American studies and the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health have formed a partnership that allows eligible students to complete their Master's in Public Health (MPH) and Master's in Mexican American Studies in three (3) years and sixty-five (65) units. Students interested in the dual degree must meet the application citeria for each program.Students gain an advanced understanding of the Mexican American and Latino populations in the United States that prepares them to develop culturally-competent public health program and policies targeting Latinos. This program provides subject and research competency on Mexican Americans as well as applied skills for working professionals and graduate students interested in better serving the Mexican American population of the Southwest.MAS coursework will be in the Latina/o Health and Wellness concentration, which prepares students to conduct culturally competent health research, and to develop health programs targeting Latinos.

Transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended or are currently attending. Unofficial transcripts must be uploaded with your application. You must submit official transcripts, later on, before you can be officially admitted by the Graduate College Resume or Curriculum Vitae GPA - 3.00
