What will I learn?

Teaching middle school and junior high students offers many rewards. Today’s children are more business savvy than ever. They are eager to learn how to take on the world. Help them build the foundation they need for success by earning a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Central Missouri. In UCM’s Middle School Education program, with a focus on Business Education, you’ll not only learn how to be a teacher but will also get an education specific to teaching tomorrow’s business leaders. While most college education programs are geared toward elementary students, UCM gives you an advantage in the career field by offering an undergraduate program focused on teaching middle and junior high students. We’ve been accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation longer than any other Missouri public institution and offer one of the largest stand-alone middle school programs in the state. We’ll help you understand the age group you wish to teach and give you a greater edge by providing instruction specific to becoming a business education teacher.
