What will I learn?

Our CACREP-accredited Counselor Education and Supervision Ph.D. program will prepare you to acquire faculty positions and assume leadership positions in mental health and school settings. You will receive intense training in counseling, teaching, supervision, research, and advocacy. Classes are held during weeknights and our coursework can be completed within two years.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are customarily expected to have a 3.0 grade point average, based on a four-point scale, in their undergraduate work.

The Council for Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) has the following requirements for doctoral students:

Master's degree in counseling or a closely related field.

TOEFL: a minimum of 80 on the Internet-based Test (iBT) with no sub-score less than 17, or 550 on the paper-based test ?IELTS: a minimum of 6.5 with no sub-score less than those listed for each area.

Applicants are encouraged to submit a completed application by April 1.
