What will I learn?

The Educational Leadership & Policy Ph.D. program is designed for practicing and aspiring administrators who wish to expand their skills as researchers. You will learn to translate theory and knowledge into practice develop critical thinking skills apply skills in interpersonal relations and political diplomacy perform independent research apply research and data-based decision-making skills develop clear persuasive academic arguments (written and oral) and follow ethical principles. Instruction includes courses, seminars, and other educational experiences featuring reflection group discussion simulations problem-solving quantitative and qualitative research methods and theory from a variety of disciplines. You will complete a dissertation.

Entry requirements

For international students

Minimum Requirements:

GPA Requirements: Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, preferred 3.5 GPA (on 4.0 scale).
Professional or research experience in education leadership, education policy, or other related education fields.
Masters degree in education or related field preferred; however, we will also consider those with bachelors degrees who have relevant work experience in education.
