What will I learn?

Lewis Biology graduates have averaged 85% placement into their professional school of choice over the past five years. Lewis' Biology degree program is the perfect pre-professional preparation to ensure your future success, with a very specific set of pre-requisite courses required by every Health Professions program. In fact, matriculation studies have shown there is no undergraduate program more successful at preparing students across all Health Professions than Biology. Whether you're looking to enter the healthcare workforce straight after Lewis, or continue on to graduate school, Lewis' Pre-Health Profession programs are the perfect choice for you. Veterinary practitioners can choose from a plethora of specializations in the healthcare of pets and livestock, as well as zoo, sporting and laboratory animals. Practicing as a veterinarian requires a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree and licensure from one of the 28 highly competitive 4-year veterinary medicine colleges in the nation.
