What will I learn?

Our graduate program in Spanish features a wide variety of courses in literature, linguistics, film studies, history, culture, pedagogy and other topics. Courses are taught by faculty who are active researchers in their fields. With graduate students from the United States, Latin America and Spain, the graduate program brings together dedicated students with diverse backgrounds and professional and academic experiences.All our Spanish graduate courses are taught in the evenings or asynchronously online which allows us to serve traditional as well as non-traditional students. We offer a number of teaching assistantships and tuition scholarships to incoming students on a competitive basis.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants seeking admission to the masters degree program in Spanish must hold a bachelors degree in Spanish from a regionally accredited college or university with an overall 3.00 GPA or its equivalent.

Minimum Score Requirement – TOEFL: 79; IELTS: minimum of 6.5 for acceptance, 7.0 for TA consideration; Duolingo: minimum of 115.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
