The Heriot-Watt Actuarial Scholarship For Academic Excellence awards the successful recipient(s) with a 20% reduction on their tuition fees. It is available to all students applying to our MSc in Actuarial Management or MSc in Actuarial Management with Data Science, or MSc Actuarial Science and Management and MSc Actuarial Science.

All applicants will be assessed automatically for this award upon receipt of their application and any award will be applied at the programme manager's (recruitment's) discretion if the student's past academic performance is deemed to be deserving of the award.  This past performance could be in respect of an undergraduate degree for instance, but also in any actuarial professional exams already passed. You will be informed if you have received this scholarship on your offer letter, if successful.

Please be aware you can only receive one Heriot-Watt funded scholarship towards your programme of study. So, for example, you cannot receive both this scholarship and the Alumni Discount.

Eligibility

Students with a strong academic record, or a strong record in passing Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) exams to date, will be awarded a 20% discount on their fees. The award is at the programme manager's discretion - and they will make their assessment based on your application.
