The Edinburgh campus is home to the world-leading centre in robotics and artificial intelligence – The National Robotarium. Pioneering research and development at the Robotarium helps students gain hands-on experience and network with industry experts in the fields of data, AI and robotics.

Heriot-Watt is accessible to students from around the world, with a range of qualifications accepted for admission.
Students who do not speak English as their first language must prove their proficiency, which they can do in a number of ways. Whilst various tests are accepted as proof, the level required falls in line with IELTS scores of:

Heriot-Watt University offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to help students pay for their education and other living costs while studying at university.
A number of scholarships are offered on each of the UK, Malaysia, and Dubai campuses. International fee-paying students are also eligible for the International Merit Scholarship, which awards ambitious students GBP 1,500 to GBP 5,000 based on academic excellence.
