Overview

The University of Derby was established in 1992. It has two main campuses, located in the heart of England in Buxton and Derby, and is the only university in Derby and Derbyshire. The University provides around 300 study programmes, as well as short courses and foundation degrees, through four faculties, namely: Faculty of Business, Computing and Law; Faculty of Art, Design & Technology; Faculty of Education, Health and Science; and University of Derby, Buxton. Each faculty offers a variety of courses that are superintended by individual research groups. Derby is an applied research university that places research at the heart of the curriculum. The university offers industry-relevant teaching and works with organisations to drive business growth. More than 1700 international students from over 100 countries study at Derby.

Both lecturers and support staff proved to be helpful and approachable. Assessments really well structured and clear understanding of what the lecturers expects, what the learning outcomes are. Classes were enjoyable and the library facilities were great, with a number of ''private'' which can allow you to focus and feel like home when studying. show less
