The Master of Education program is grounded in two main purposes:(a) to provide a space for you to understand your professional knowledge and(b) to make meaningful links between this knowledge and the conceptual and theoretical framework of educational research.StFX offers an online Master of Education in Administration & Policy and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. There are three options by which you may complete the requirements for the MEd degree: a course-based route, a project route, or a thesis route. Entry requirements

For international students

For regular admission to the Master of Education program candidates shall normally havecompleted a Bachelor of Education degree or its equivalentearned an average of at least 70 PERCENT in the BEd Program or have placed in the top 25 PERCENT of the BEd graduating class andcompleted at least two years of successful teaching before enrolling in the first graduate course. Considerable weight will also be given to the references and letter of intent supplied by the applicant as well as successful teaching experience Individuals who do not possess a Bachelor of Education degree will normally be considered when they havegained a teaching license equivalent to a Nova Scotia Initial Certificate TC5 or been employed in a teaching capacity for at least two years in a professional school or postsecondary institutionmet all other admission conditions
