The PGDipArts is an alternative to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours). You can choose from a wide range of Arts subjects and may be able to include a dissertation. This programme might be for you if you want to undertake advanced study without writing a dissertation, if honours degrees aren’t recognised in your country, or if you would like to study part-time over a longer period. We offer a wide range of programmes and courses, starting from initial teacher education for those wishing to become a teacher through to research masters, in which students investigate areas of educational practice relevant to their interests or work setting. Postgraduate Arts programmes give you the opportunity delve more deeply into education theory and practice without the expectation of becoming a practising teacher. Our graduate diplomas in early childhood, primary or secondary offer routes into teaching for graduates wishing to use their degree to teach. We also provide a range of postgraduate diplomas and certificates that offer specialisations in literacy education, reading recovery or language teaching. Specific masters cover primary teaching and teaching English to speakers of other languages.
