What will I learn?

Gain specialist mental health nursing skills and NMC registration in an additional field of practice with our one-year Graduate Diploma.

Build on your existing nursing degree by gaining the particular knowledge and skills required of mental health nurses.

You’ll learn in the classroom and through hands-on placements, covering causes and interventions the experiences of people from different demographics and backgrounds and biological, psychological and social factors that can impact on mental health.

When you graduate, you’ll be ready to practice as a registered mental health nurse.

Entry requirements

For international students

  • A first degree in nursing with honours or equivalent and current NMC registration as a first level nurse (Nurses part of the register Sub part 1) without restrictions on your practice.
