What will I learn?

Students who wish to teach biology at the high school level (grades 9-12) enter the secondary/high school teacher preparation program. The program involves extensive professional education courses with a strong grounding in content area coursework. All teacher preparation programs also involve extensive experiences in partner schools.Prior to acceptance, transfer students may need to pass the MoGEA and/or MoCA at 220 or higher, depending on the number of credit hours they are able to transfer into Maryville.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be considered for admission, applicants should have: A high school diploma with a minimum of 22 units of credits; A high school grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Applicants who do not meet the criteria listed above will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be asked to submit a personal statement before an admission decision is made.
