Students looking to pursue a career in the automotive industry can train at the state-of-the-art Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Docklands, the largest and most advanced automotive training facility in the southern hemisphere.
Kangan develops its automotive courses to cater to the needs of industry. This ensures that students’ training is relevant and gives them the practical skills to make them job-ready for the automotive industry.
Students applying for the two-year automotive package and may be eligible in receiving AUD 2,500 scholarship (T&Cs apply).
Training programs promote situational awareness via simulation based learning. Students learn in realistic scenarios using cutting edge equipment, simulated labs and other training programs, as well as through immersive real life work placement.
Diploma of Community Services (CHC52021) is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills in community development, casework and group work.
This community services course equips students with an understanding of human rights, cultural inclusion, Indigenous culture, issues and strategies for effective service delivery. The course is ACWA (Australian Community Workers Association) accredited, which requires students to complete 400 hours of practical placement hours within a community service setting.
The dedicated ELICOS training centre in Docklands offers a series of courses from elementary to upper intermediate level. Kangan Institute’s general English course is designed for students to improve their English proficiency to take up further studies or prepare for employment.
English classes at Kangan consist of approximately 15 students, allowing students to have more one-on-one attention from qualified, experienced, friendly teachers.

The automotive scholarship is available to international student who apply for the two-year automotive package for the February 2025 intake.
The scholarship is to the value of AUD 2,500 and deducted from the final semester tuition fees of the two-year package.
The access scholarship is available to eligible international students who have enrolled in a course of study at the institute. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to enable students achieve their goals.
The Kangan Institute Access Scholarship is intended to ease some of the financial pressure associated with engagement and the completion of the course. Applications for the scholarship are open throughout the year.
International applicants must fulfil the following criteria and provide valid supporting documents:
Possess a valid visa, which could be a student visa, a temporary graduate visa or anyone paying international fees
Be an onshore student
Provide evidence of financial disadvantage, with supporting documents like payslips, bank statements or statutory declaration
The access scholarship is adjusted towards students’ tuition fees. These scholarships are limited in number and the amount is determined on a case-by-case basis. International students can receive up to up to AUD 1,000 per scholarship.
